Skunk Control & Removal
Humane skunk removal and prevention for properties across the GTA.

The Problem
Skunk Problems
Skunks are common in GTA neighbourhoods, especially near green spaces and ravines. They dig under decks, sheds, and foundations to create dens, and they spray when they feel threatened — a smell that can linger for weeks and be nearly impossible to remove from pets, clothing, and building materials.
Skunks can also damage lawns by digging for grubs, and in some cases carry parasites. If a skunk has denned under your property, the longer it stays, the harder it is to encourage to leave.
Signs
How to Know if You Have a Skunk
Signs include a strong skunk odour (even without a recent spray), small cone-shaped holes in your lawn (from digging for grubs), burrow openings under decks or sheds, and sightings at dawn or dusk when skunks are most active.
What Marsh Does
Inspection
We inspect the property to locate the skunk's den, identify entry points, and assess the situation — including whether there are young present.
Humane Removal
We use one-way doors and live trapping to remove the skunk without harm, following Ontario wildlife regulations.
Exclusion
Once the skunk is out, we seal the den opening and recommend exclusion work to prevent skunks from digging back under the structure.
Prevention
We advise on reducing attractants — food sources, shelter opportunities, and lawn conditions that draw skunks.
What to Expect
What You Can Expect
Skunk removal is done humanely and in line with Ontario wildlife regulations. If there are babies present, we handle the situation carefully to ensure they're not separated from the mother.
Removing the skunk is only part of the solution. If the den isn't sealed, another skunk will likely move in. We recommend exclusion work to prevent that.
When to Call
When You Should Call
Call if you smell skunk odour regularly, see a skunk on your property repeatedly, find a burrow under a deck or shed, or if a skunk has sprayed near or on your home.
